Get Goosed

A self-portrait of you will, but to some extent, all of my work is a self-portrait. The goose head is relief printed along with a few monotypes here and there. The textual elements come from xerox copying, magazine clippings, and printing the image in different directions on the same page. Through this work, I’m exploring ideas of my personal and artistic growth, grounding myself and my intentions through making when all else seems lost. Sometimes I do feel like the goose; life at this moment is unsure, and so is my place in it. My making does help me find my place, whether I come at it from the lens view of lost or found, making art is my home.
