Junk Drawer, diptych, 24 × 48”

mixed media acrylic on wood panel with collage elements including monotypes, relief prints, handmade paper, cyanotypes, and xeroxed vintage magazine scraps.

These two panels are full of print and paper scraps I’ve accumulated since moving to Philly. Working on these became a way for me to reuse scraps, approaching the surface like a kind of visual junk drawer (and simultaniouly cleaning out my paper scrap drawer) allowing the fragments to find new relationships across the two panels.
